More Jimmy...

What can be better than a Jimmy Eat World concert in the middle of the week? A Jimmy Eat World concert at the end of the week!!! That's right, my friends... 2 concerts in one week!!!! It was AWESOME!!! The band played for over 15,000 people at Edgefest in Queen Creek tonight. Emily, Alyssa and I had a great time. We saw weird people doing strange things...people were being thrown through the crowds... lots of mosh pits (that we quickly got away from)...water bottles flying... frizbees...ER guys driving ATV's through the crowd to rescuse some poor dude...girls in bikinis (ha haWHY????)...even an old"er" guy sporting a "BYU" tshirt!! Jimmy started with Big Casino again and ended with The Middle. The funny part was that the "non beer" side rocked along with all the songs..and then at the end, the drinkers joined in with The Middle!!! Thanks Jimmy for putting on another totally AMAZING show!!!

This is Jim Adkins (aka lead singer) and for those who would understand... note that he is not wearing "the" blackshirt!!!!

Friday's Video

I went to Flagstaff last night for a JIMMY EAT WORLD CONCERT. Rebecca, Joy, Sherri and I left Mesa at 5:30 - got there just in time to buy tshirts and find our seats... 3RD ROW - CENTER.... AWESOME SEAT!!! THANKS JOY!! The concert started literally 10 minutes after we sat down. It was so cool! I love going to Jimmy concerts where we don't have to fight for a good spot (right up front). The night is so much more pleasent when we don't have to elbow and step on kid's (we're not the oldest one's there - but not the youngest, either)toes while we are fighting our way to the front. The band started their concert with "Big Casino", their newest and first single off their soon to be released album "Chase This Light" (listen to it @ www.jimmyeatworld.com--album to be released on Oct 16th - while we are in Hawaii). The entire night was full of old and new songs. Personally, they played too many soft songs and not enough ROCK! But we were standing and dancing the entire time anyway. I tried to take a picture, but it didn't turn out. I got a little emotional (you can laugh) when they did "Blister". Tom started it and Jim joined in... it was super cool to see them together (I know, they are always together) - but for some reason, it hit me that these four guys have been freinds forEVER and that I was at this totally amazing concert with 3 friends I have known forEVER... it was kind of sureal(sp?). Anyways... totally ROCKIN' concert... good times... and the drive there and back (I got home at 2:am) was fun...The four of us talked and talked and talked - it's been a long time since we've spent time together like that. Thanks Girls!! I dedicate this video to you... my PEEPS! :)

Bryton and Grandad

Bryton had the most amazing experience this weekend. He got to go camping in the White Mountains with my dad, my Uncle Earl and Uncle Lavell... and some of my cousins. I am so glad that he got to get to know my cousins - I think they are so great!! I haven't seen them in a long time, but I often think back to Thanksgiving at Gramma Owens' home and playing with them! Thanks to Ken and Russ and Roy for helping Bryton have such a great time! Bryton go to hear the elk bugeling (sp?). Here is a short video clip that Bryton took...more pictures are coming (Grandad just needs to send them to me).

Ready for Church

Rick is out of town. Bryton is tired from camping all weekend. Mykee went to bed too late last night. Rylee is playing with the new toys from Sidney and Shelby. Lyndee is army scooting around the kitchen floor. Mom is blow drying her hair. And then there's Dylin.... Dylin came into the room and said, "Mom, I'm ready for church day." Take a look... jewelry? check! make-up? check! dress? check! shoes? check!

Playing With Cousins... some more

Here are some great shots of the cousins...

D*Y*L*I*N

Dylin does the silliest things... the other night, mom and dad came over to play Rook w/ Rick and I. Dylin came downstairs in her Ariel Costume... but decided that Grandad needed to wear the wig. Thanks Dad for being a good sport!!!

Fun w/ Family

Dave and Annie and Ollie and Hazel came to AZ for a convention...we got to meet up with the for FHE last night at the Hyatt @ Gainy Ranch. It was so much fun!! All the cousins - Bryton, Mykee, Rylee, Dylin, Ollie, London, Lyndee and Hazel were showing true Rigby colors and played in the freezing cold water!!! (Thankfully there was a great "coozi" to warm up in).

Our New Sundays...

I have been waiting for the perfect picture to post w/ this post, but I can't seem to find the time to corner Rick, take a picutre of him, download it and then post it... So I'm going to post anyway.
Last Sunday, Rick was sustained and set apart as the 2nd Counselor in our Bishopric. He was ordained a HP by my father. It was truely one of the most beautiful blessings I have ever heard. Everytime my dad called him "his son", it touched my heart. I am so proud of my husband and for the committment he is so willing and eager to make to serve the Lord and the members in our ward. Today was my first Sunday "alone". Rick was up and out of the house by 7am and didn't meet up with us until 7pm at my parents house for dinner. Thanks to Bryton and Mykee, I was able to get all 3 little girls ready for church... and even arrived early. The girls were pretty good for me during SM - luckily, today was the Primary Program... which means Mykee, Rylee and Dylin got to sit up on the stands and Rick go to sit with me. It felt really strange - almost lonely - when I had Bryton take Lyndee out. Just Rick and I on the bench. I don't think we have ever been alone on a bench!! Mykee gave a beautiful talk and bore her testimony as part of the program. I am very proud of her. Rylee gave her line..."My faith in Jesus Christ blesses my life. I am thankful for my blessings"... she said it softly and beautifuly. Dylin sat in the front row and sang every song the best she could. She smiled and acted shy... too cute.
I am so proud to be Rick's wife. He is such a blessing to me and our family. He contiues to work so hard to provide us nice things for our home and is always wanting to make sure we are creating fun expierences with the kids. He is a wonderful example to Bryton and works so patiently with him to reach his goals. He cares so much for each one of his children. I love him so much. I am very thankful to my Father in Heaven for Rick... and our children. Five kids is a lot of kids...and each one of them is so special to me. I wouldn't want my home to be any less chaotic :)

I'VE LOST A LYNDEE!!

OK... this might come across hokey - but I don't care. Because a friend whom I haven't seen in a few months said to me at the gym today, "You are withering away"... I decided to go ahead and post this...Lizzy has been telling me I should for a while now, anyway. "I've lost a Lyndee" means that she wieghs 17lbs and I have now lost 18.2lbs!!! I am finally at my starting weight when I got pregnant w/ Rylee!!! It feels SO great to have people notice my success. I started my wieght loss journey in June by joining Weight Watchers and committing to the gym at least 3x a week. I am 4 lbs from my goal... but I think I'll re-set the goal and go an additional 5...that way I can afford to gain some back when we go on our cruise to HAWAII in less than 6 weeks!! Hillary came to my house the other night to let me try on some pants. I was a little emotional when the pants actually FIT!!!! These were pants that I had given to her when I thought there was never a chance that I would be this size again. I am completely blown away...but to give myself some credit - I have been 110% committed to WW and trying really hard. My family has sacrificed by going from eating hamburger meat to ground turkey... and going from white flour pasta to whole wheat flour. I'm sure they feel like the post-it pad I saw last week..."oh no - mamma's on a diet and we're all going to die"!!! Thanks for the support, family...especially Rick!!

HAPPENINGS

Lyndee was having some breakfast and Bryton was being silly with her... he would make her turn around to laugh at him and while doing so, he was able to get this picture of her! It totally cracks me up!!!!

Rick organized a Court of Honor a couple of weeks ago. Bryton was advanced to 2nd Class. His Scoutmaster (John Sherman) has been really busy working w/ the boys w/ their scouting. Bryton is eager to advance and earn his Eagle.

Before Dylin started preschool - she was my "errand buddy". She loves to ride in the Costco Cart w/ Lyndee. I love that Dylin is in preschool ... but sometimes I sure miss her!!!
