We have a wonderful tradition of going to Grandma and Granddad Owens' home for our Christmas traditions. And lucky for them, they didn't have to report to the MTC until Dec 28th! The kids had a great time teasing Santa Clause (aka Bryton) this year. I was so impressed with my dad being able to convince Bryton that this would be a GOOD thing! Bryton loves his Granddad!!

Never
Why is blogging so hard? I thought I would start back up again once my parents left on their mission...so they would be able to "keep up" with the Rigby Life. But then I discovered Skype. I get to see my parents, and they get to see us! That's SO much better than blogging!
Well, except that you don't remember anything!
Recap:
My parents left on an 18 month mission to Calgary, Canada. Their assignment is in Lethbridge, serving with the Elders and Sisters in the YSA wards. They are having a great time. They don't miss us at all. Somehow, they have been able to completely let go of life in AZ. I can't say I am happy about it. But I will say that I am super happy that they are happy.
Rick still has a great job and we are thankful for it.
Bryton is ALMOST through with his Eagle project. He loves snowboarding and will go any chance he can get. He is currently trying out for the JV Baseball team. He told me yesterday that he needs a haircut...but he JUST had one. He wants to try wearing his hair short! Yay for me!!!!
Mykee loves teaching her dance class, taking dance and being Miss Social Butterfly at school. She has a new passion...the stake dances. They do not occur often enough. She is patiently waiting for Logan to turn 14.
Rylee is almost 8 and is excited to get baptised. She loves dancing and she is pretty good at it! She loves performing and puts her "all" into it. I'm feeling pretty bad right now about the attention she seems to not be getting from me. Every day she comes home and says "this is the worst day of my life." Hmmmm. What to do?
Dylin is hilarious. Loves to laugh. She still has two volumes. Loud and off. I am still happy with the decision we made to keep her in Kindergarten this year. She's the smallest one in her class, yet she is one of the oldest.
Lyndee is 3 now. And refuses to potty-train. I've tried several times. Grrrr. Another thing she refuses to do? Go to her Sunbeam class. She prefers Nursery. And while Rick is in the bishopric and I am leading the music in Primary, it's easier to not fight with her and send her to Nursery. Rick says I have to put an end to that. :(
Jayson breaks my back everytime I pick him up. He's a solid little/big boy. 15 months and wears 2T (which fits perfectly). He's a happy baby/boy. He loves to mimic me on the phone. Says "hi" and "thank you"...in his own special way. Jayson loves to be outside and will escape any unlocked door. The other day I found him half way down the street. I'm such a good mom.
I went off all my post-partum meds at the same time my parents left for Canada. Not such a great idea. But I'm clean now. Completely sober. Unless you consider the daily double intake of Diet Sunkist a drug...which sometimes, it is :)
I was reading a really good book, "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" until Rick surprised me with an iPhone for Christmas. Now all I do is play games and check facebook...
Hopefully I will find the energy and time to get on this Blog and say a few things. It is nice to go back and remember the small things that are so easily and quickly forgotten. My sister, Christy, made me realize this...just today. And she doesn't even know it. Man! I love that girl!!
